Jasmine Buds Herbal Tea

Pure, unscented jasmine flower buds may be used as a delightful and healthy beverage on their own or mixed with black, white or green tea. A comforting drink, packed with antioxidants and minerals, sipping this is a great way to relax or ready for sleep. Naturally caffeine-free!

These buds are picked prior to opening into flowers, so do not expect anything other than a faint jasmine scent as there is no jasmine oil or artificial scents added to them. In nature flowers do not get their scent until they open, so if you are expecting strong jasmine aroma, you will not be satisfied with this. That being said, this is an incredibly nice drink, healthy indeed. It is slightly sweet and delicate with hints of savory and oats, yielding a pale yellow cup, refreshing and mild. We love the gentleness of this drink. Honey may be added if you desire more sweetness. Many drinkers enjoy this as an iced beverage.

Use 1 to 2 teaspoons of the buds per cup of water just below boiling water. Cover and steep it for 3 to 4 minutes. You may play with lower water temps and steeping times in order to make it your cup of tea. You may infuse it several times.

Play with adding some of these buds to your green, white or black teas for added depth of flavors and more healthful benefits. Follow your bliss and enjoy. We love these buds brewed on their own and find it soothing.
