Fork Off

Do you ever find yourself in a situation where you’ve got leaf, hot water but no tea pot or strainer? Prepared as we tea mongers are, usually traveling with our tea thermoses, there are times when we too, are without dedicated tea gear. But if you’ve a couple mugs (or a pitcher and a mug) and a fork, you’re good to go. Simply prepare the tea as you would in a tea pot and then decant into your cups using a fork to hold back the leaves and voila, you’ve got strained tea! We’ve used this method camping, at friend’s homes, at the cinema, stuck in line at the DMV, out to eat and at the bar. After all, it’s always tea time, so fork off!
